2026 Central Carolina Academy Maintenance Technician

• Maintain a clean and orderly work space with equipment  and tools stored appropriately; work areas are clean and organized
• Have basic carpentry and plumbing skills
• Maintain or train staff to help strip and wax tile floors
• Basic painting skills
• Maintain school equipment. Examples but not limited too: Floor machine, stripping, buffing equipment, and vacuums
• Coordinate and oversee fire and health inspection requirements/procedures(keep updated records)
• Coordinate and oversee fire drills with Principals and Admin. Staff
• Assist with inventory control of custodial, athletic, maintenance and security (equipment and property)
• Coordinate campus mowing and weather-related campus clearing of sidewalks and parking lots with outside contractors
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for school supplies and maintenance of the school (AC/Heat, Plumbing, Mowing, Locksmith and etc.)
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Principal, AD or supervisor.
• Coordinate with AD on maintenance of the buses

Other requirements

• Must have basic technology skills
• Use of cell phone
• Use of email
• Must have a valid NC driver’s license
• Ability to climb ladders at various heights
• Obtain and/or maintain a CDL and drive morning & afternoon routes (addition pay for bus driving)

Other information

• First shift job
• 40 hours per week plus benefits
• 12 months a year 
• $20 to $22 per hour

Optimal to have professional credentials (i.e. plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
