- Assessment: Evaluating the current strengths and weaknesses of individuals or team members.
- Program Development: Creating personalized, structured plans and training programs tailored to specific short-term and long-term goals.
- Instruction & Training: Planning and executing practice sessions, drills, and workshops to teach fundamental skills and strategy.
- Performance Analysis: Monitoring progress, tracking data or performance metrics, and adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Motivation: Providing continuous encouragement, emotional support, and maintaining client/athlete enthusiasm.
- Record Keeping & Maintenance: Managing player statistics, equipment, and ensuring safe training environments (especially in sports).

- Communication: Ability to clearly explain concepts, provide constructive criticism, and listen actively.
- Leadership & Empathy: Strong capability to inspire, build team morale, and foster a positive, inclusive environment.

Work Environment
- Schedules: Coaching often requires highly irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly for athletic or part-time roles.
